Proud Heritage offers shoppers the chance to experience the outstanding talent of the Sandyhills Flute Band from Glasgow, founded in 1982 by Jamie and Danny McPhail. This is the bands first CD and it has been well worth the wait, with a fantastic selection of 19 tunes including Highland Laddie, Portsmouth, Piper of Dundee, Star of the County Down, Green Grassy Slopes, the Girl I left behind, and The Rowan Tree. Some of the tunes are old favourites but they are given fantastic new treatments by the band, which comprises 26 members, whose service ranges from two to 23 years at Sandyhills.

The Broadisland Gathering is Northern Ireland's longest established and largest Ulster Scots festival, having been founded in 1993 in Ballycarry, County Antrim. This DVD was filmed at the 2010 Gathering, which included a visit from Mid Argyll Pipe Band and Young Choir of Dalriada, a Scots Gaelic choir whose presence highlighted the diversity of Scottish identity.
